I’ll be the first to admit that I’m not really much of a reader and a book has to really grab my attention in the first few pages or I usually can’t find the motivation to continue with it.  Then along came the TWILIGHT SERIES!  At the risk of sounding like a completely obsessed fanatic, I totally LOVE this series of books.  I have never come across a writer or story before that has so totally gripped my attention from the first page of the book.  I just couldn’t put the first book down - to the extent that as soon as I had finished it, I had to know what happened next so I ordered the rest of the series from Amazon (and I have never ordered fiction books from anywhere before - usually I just read other people’s used copies that they have recommended!).  Ordinarily a TV addict, I would forego my usual nightly TV viewing so that I could read my Twilight books!  And my husband loved the books just as much.  The crowning moment of my obsession: as soon as I realised a movie had been made of the first book, I pre-ordered it (wasn’t available to buy yet) and had it delivered as soon as it was possible.  I have watched Twilight (the movie) twice...and can’t wait to see the sequel, New Moon, which will be in cinemas later this year.

Incidentally, I have also read Stephenie Meyer’s other book (not related to the Twilight series), called The Host.  It took me a bit longer to get into this one as the beginning is a little confusing but, once you get past the first chapter, everything becomes clearer and then, like her other books, it becomes hard to put the it down.

To find out more about the books, see Stephenie’s website: http://www.stepheniemeyer.com/twilightseries.html

All of the books can be bought at http://www.amazon.co.uk or most high street book stores.  Enjoy reading and do let me know what you think!
