How stressful is it trying to come up with interesting ways to entertain our little kiddiewinks in this freezing weather?!!!  I know I’ve made a couple of posts about Eddie Catz because it is local to me and I think it’s a really good place to go to let the kids expel some energy (no, they are not paying me to advertise for them - haha!), but if you know of any other places that you would recommend - or places to avoid - then please do write about them in this forum.  xxx

I have no specific suggestions Claire but I recently found four sites for a friend who had similar ‘what to do and where to go’ problems. They offered lots of suggestions and ideas which may be useful.

I’ve used http://www.dayoutwiththekids.co.uk before.  Like the look of http://www.mummyimbored.co.uk.  Kids in Tow is slightly different in that it is more for family holidays than just a day out.  All really helpful links - thanks again, Sisyphus!

Hi there,

On the topic of where to go with our little ones, I have just discovered a sweet little soft play in New Malden. It only opened a couple of weeks ago, so it is nice and quiet with lots of free space for the little ones to run around. What is really nice about it is that it only goes up to 3 year olds, so it is safer for the little ones. also I found that because it is small you can sit and relax while your child has a play as you can see what they are doing all the time.

It is open Wednesday and Thursday mornings, it has a website http://www.funtotssoftplay.co.uk
it has it’s prices on the website but they have a special offer at the moment, under 1’s and siblings £2 and 1 to 3’s £3. Childminders can use teh sibling discount as well.

Give it a go, I found it really relaxing and enjoyable.
