Kidz Things - our first ever Newsletter

We are so excited to welcome you to our first ever Kidz Things newsletter*!

A LITTLE BIT ABOUT US

Kidz Things is a classified adverts website where you can post free ads for anything related to kidz that you would like to buy or sell.  We are also a community website with a forum for discussions around anything to do with kidz or parenting, and a blog area for articles on various topics of interest. 

www.kidzthings.co.uk was launched in November 2008, so we are still in our infancy - if we were a baby, we would probably just be starting to crawl!  And that is a very fitting analogy because, after a lot of frustration (developing and growing a classified and community website is so much harder than we had imagined it could be!), it feels like we are finally making progress.

The site is managed and edited by mum-of-one, Claire.

WHAT’S NEW WITH THE WEBSITE

This newsletter is one of our much anticipated new features for Kidz Things.  It won’t necessarily be sent on a regular basis, but rather when we have something to share that we think would be of interest to you.

You can now sign-up to automatically receive e-mail notifications when new adverts have been added in your selected categories - simply login and click on the E-mail Notifications link to update your settings.

Kidz Things is now officially SafeSurf rated, which means our content is suitable for visitors of all ages.
We have also been reviewed by The Good Web Guide and are listed as one of their recommended sites.

WHAT ELSE IS HAPPENING

Join in with our forum Giggle Competition - we would love to hear your stories of things the kidz do that make you laugh - and you could win a fantastic hamper if your anecdote is voted the funniest!

Our latest blog is about the social-networking site, Twitter, and we discuss whether or not it is a useful website for parents.

Kidz Things is on Twitter and we have a Facebook Page too.

WHAT THE FUTURE HOLDS

Kidz Things’ goal is to be a fun, friendly and useful website that our members will want to visit frequently.

We have kept the classified advertisement categories fairly broad for the moment but, as the advert lists expand, we will add new sub-categories to allow you to further refine your advert searches.

As a community site, we depend on you to get involved in the forums and use the classifieds to help us grow and make the website a success.  With a little help from our valued members, we hope to be up on our feet and “toddling” in no time.

We would greatly appreciate any feedback you have so please do get in touch with your comments.  And remember to spread the word by telling your friends and family about us.
